Notes:
This is a sample plan to finish both BA and MURP in five years. This pathway is primarily for students pursuing the MURP Plan B. However, should a BAM student enroll in the program and decide to pursue a PLAN A (minimum 6 cr of PLAN 700 ) option, this is possible with the pathway as shown above. It is likely to add an extra summer or semester, however, to have a better sequence between PLAN 650  and the thesis.
The BA major prerequisite of statistics will also meet the MURP’s statistics prerequisite.
A student will apply to the Master’s program during their “second-semester junior” semester, and be admitted to the Master’s program via the pathway in their “first-semester senior” semester, when they would be allowed to begin taking double-counted and excess credit courses.
*PLAN 310  is the gateway course for the pathway, which requires a grade of ‘B’ or better. PLAN 310  fulfills an undergraduate upper-division writing intensive elective (W 300+).
Double-counted courses for the BAM are denoted with **.
Courses denoted with ^ are required for the MURP and taken as excess credits during the undergraduate fourth year.
